It's been doing darn good business in China, and critics have responded fairly well too, and now we await Wong Kar Wai's The Grandmaster, with this cheesy American trailer nonetheless showcasing the extreme visual beauty of Wong's latest. Working with long-time collaborator William Chang, and a new cinematographer Philippe Le Sourd (who looks to be doing as good a job as previous Wong DPs Darius Khondji and, particularly, the great Christopher Doyle), this continues to look like one of the most exciting and aesthetically impressive films of 2013.
