A late entry into this year's awards race. I do wonder why studios keep doing that. Fox did it last year too with Hitchcock, and look how that turned out. I can't imagine this will be good enough to build up much buzz over the next few months. A US release on the 15th of November followed by an international rollout through early 2014 suggests that they're aiming for a Life of Pi type success; indeed, they even reference Life of Pi in the trailer, alongside the book this is based on. But neither of those have anything to do with the quality of the actual film. That, based on the above evidence, isn't looking too good.
