WHAT'S ON THURSDAY - NOV 22-24

It's not Wednesday, no, but there are still plenty of films being released at the box office this coming weekend!

NARCO CULTURA

Lots of good reviews for Shaul Schwarz's documentary about drug traffickers along the US-Mexico border and deeper within Mexico and its culture. The film was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary at Sundance in January and is released in limited in the US on Friday.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE

I've seen The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, as it was released today (Thursday the 21st) here in the UK, and I can confirm that it is good! My review will be posted shortly. The highly-anticipated sequel to last year's mammoth hit The Hunger Games comes out tomorrow in the US. Jennifer Lawrence kills it. Like, I mean, she fucking killllllllls it.

FROZEN

If you live in lovely Hollywood, California, you can go see Disney's new animation, Frozen, right now! Well, depending on screentimes. The El Capitan Theatre is showing it exclusively, and has been since yesterday, before its wide release in the US next Wednesday, and in the UK nine days later, on the 6th of December. Word is that it's pretty good!
