AMERICAN FILM INSTITUTE MOVIES OF THE YEAR

Non-American films are not eligible for the AFI's annual list of the best films of the year, but don't go thinking that excludes highbrow British shit and focuses their thoughts onto the American independent scene! They're even more mainstream than the Academy! Fruitvale Station is what they provide as a means of diversifying, I think. Otherwise, apparently Saving Mr. Banks is one of the 10 best American films of the year. It's not. It's not one of the 110 best American films of the year.

  • 12 Years a Slave
  • American Hustle
  • Captain Phillips
  • Fruitvale Station
  • Gravity
  • Her
  • Inside Llewyn Davis
  • Nebraska
  • Saving Mr. Banks
  • The Wolf of Wall Street

    1. Oh but srsly. Saving Mr. Banks?! Could anyone legitimately think that it's one of the greatest films of 2013? That's nonsense. Total nonsense. It's fluff.
