Remember when I made that ridiculous long post about the long hardcore version of Nymphomaniac being shelved and the short softcore version being turned into the hardcore one instead? Well, that's nonsense. Sort of. Lars von Trier's personal cut, which runs for roughly five and a half hours will indeed be released, but not as a hardcore edition, at least not in comparison to the shorter (well, four hours, if that's at all short) cut. Molly Malene Stensgaard oversaw both edits, and she's worked with von Trier several times before. His cut will be released, but some time after the shorter one will make its theatrical debut across a number of international markets in early 2014 after its Christmas Day premiere in Copenhagen. Got it? Rly?
