We shall have to wait for the Cinema Audio Society awards to find out whether Captain Phillips or Gravity has the edge in the sound categories. These technical awards have so far been split between those two films, with Captain Phillips winning the ACE Eddie and Gravity winning the Best Sound BAFTA yesterday. They both win top awards here at the MPSE awards. The list of winners for Epic in the Animated Feature category reads like a list of the all-time greatest animation sound editors.
