Ken Loach has suggested that Jimmy's Hall will be his final film, after an extremely distinguished career. It'll open in the UK on the 30th of May; will it show at Cannes earlier in the month? It's be his 12th film in competition there, having formerly won a FIPRESCI award there three times, four Ecumenical Jury awards (two special mentions included, as well as one for his body of work), a Young Cinema award, three Jury Prizes and the Palme d'Or for 2006's The Wind That Shakes the Barley.
