Replacing James Franco with Jason Clarke doesn't seem like a bad swap at all to me, though that was one of Franco's more tolerable roles of late. I continue to feel that Dawn of the Planet of the Apes does not look as good as Rise did, and that was a film I thought would be shit but had a good trailer. This is a film I thought would be good but has an underwhelming trailer. Out in the US on the 11th of July and in the UK on the 17th.
