With this and Star Wars: Episode VII now on her slate, the major, career-making roles finally look to be coming in for recent Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o. She'll star in the lead role of an adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's novel Americanah, which won the acclaimed Nigerian author the 2013 US National Book Critics Circle award for fiction. Brad Pitt's Plan B studio, which was also behind the film that made Nyong'o's name, last year's 12 Years a Slave, will finance the project, with Nyong'o also coming on board as producer.
