There will be a Godzilla 2. It seemed inevitable - would Warner Bros. actually want to reboot again? This summer's Godzilla seemed like a tricky proposition as a blockbuster, but the marketing really caught on with audiences. Except then they didn't like the film. It performed like a dodgy sequel - like this summer's Transformers: Age of Extinction, yet the reviews were largely very positive. Shouldn't things have gone the other way around? Four years is a rather long wait for a sequel; it sure didn't work out well for How to Train Your Dragon 2. But they're bringing back director Gareth Edwards - a good idea, I think - and he's got that fucking Star Wars spin-off coming in 2016, so how could they have gotten this out sooner? It might well flop, even if the marketing hits once more, and even if it's actually good. It's just... four years...
