BIRDMAN NARROWLY BEATS BOYHOOD AT KANSAS CITY CRITICS


The Kansas City Film Critics Circle doesn't announce runners-up for its year-end awards, but it was confirmed on Twitter that Birdman's surprise Best Picture victory at the group was a close one over BoyhoodBoth films were big hits with the Kansas City critics, though. Another slight shock came in another tight race, with Rosamund Pike winning Best Actress for Gone Girlbut there was no declaration of a close call when Gillian Robespierre pulled off the day's biggest upset when she won Best Adapted Screenplay for Obvious ChildAll the details below:
