GRAND BUDAPEST IS NORTH CAROLINA CRITICS' FILM OF 2014


Once more, The Grand Budapest Hotel defies expectations by triumphing with another critic group's awards. The North Carolina Film Critics Association has chosen Wes Anderson's new comedy as its favourite film of 2014, ensuring that it rises to occupy a position in their favour alongside Birdman as their choice contenders against current Oscar race frontrunner BoyhoodThere are surprises aplenty alongisde Grand Budapest's big victory here, including ranging from very impressive (Best Actress) to very questionable (Best Adapted Screenplay).
