The penultimate critics group to announce their winners, before London completes things with a full-on do on Sunday night, the Georgia critics follow North Carolina's lead and reward Silver Linings Playbook. Quite the uptick for that film since Oscar nominations last week - Golden Globes aside, it's started winning almost everywhere it can! Judi Dench is the one surprise result, perhaps, although their Supporting Actress lineup was anything but dull. Nominations? Et voila!
LOL!!! They go with Bigelow for Best Director then name the low brow SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK Best Picture.
ReplyDeleteDr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.
Well, even if Silver Linings Playbook is one's favourite film of the year, it'd be hard to argue that David O. Russell did a better job directing it than Kathryn Bigelow did with Zero Dark Thirty.
DeleteSo Jekyll is Best Director, Hyde is Best Picture.
