It's been rumoured for a while, but now it's been confirmed: the long-awaited sequel to Ridley Scott's Blade Runner will be scripted by Michael Green. The Emmy-nominated writer's only film credit to date is flop superhero film Green Lantern, and I'm never excited by the prospect of a sequel to a film that has been so oft celebrated for existing as a stand-alone classic, even if I've never been quite as enamoured by the film as many others. Harrison Ford, who was notoriously critical of Scott's direction back in 1982, is supposedly in talks to return.
