I was under the impression that none of this was legally binding, and that maybe the worst that could happen would be that the Weinsteins would be forced to resign their company from some major organisation in order to keep the title of Lee Daniels' upcoming film as The Butler. But no. A $550,000 fee, with the threat of an extra $50,000 per day if they continue to use the title, which officially belongs to Warner Bros. Why does WB care? Fucked if I know! The film's US release is supposedly less than a month away, and now they have to change the title. They might as well bump it back to October again.
