HOUSTON FILM CRITICS SOCIETY GIVE 4 TO 12 YEARS, 4 TO GRAVITY


The top two awards were split at the Houston Film Critics Society (as has occurred a few times already this year), between the two most popular films: 12 Years a Slave, which won Best  Picture, and Gravity, which won director. Both won three additional awards, including Sandra Bullock's first critic win of the season in a Best Actress lineup that did not include Oscar favourite Cate Blanchett. Nominations and winners were announced simultaneously.
