After Her led the WAFCA 2013 nominations, it's 12 Years a Slave which has come out on top. No surprise there then, since the smaller critic groups look increasingly likely to align behind McQueen's drama, and Alfonso Cuaron's thriller Gravity, which wins him another Best Director honour. Meanwhile, Her wins just Best Original Screenplay, though it's rapidly shaping up to be the frontrunner in that category.
