After a few studios collaborated to take a pretty big risk on Spike Lee with the Oldboy remake, offering him $30 million to direct a phenomenal dud, they've realised their mistake and abandoned him to his own, personal, micro-budget wills. His response is Da Sweet Blood of Jesus, potentially his most uncommercial project to date, and among his most egregiously bad, if certain reviews are to be believed. Still, it's a risky piece from a legitimate icon of cinema, and if I'm gonna support any types of film it'll be the risky types. Out in the US on the 13th of February.
