No complaints here, for once! The Southeastern Film Critics Association has voted Moonlight its favourite film of 2016, winning five awards in total and scoring three further runner-up mentions. Despite such a show of strength from Barry Jenkins' film, and by other awards season frontrunners La La Land and Manchester by the Sea, these awards were an excellent advertisement for diversity, with five of the eight credited actors being people of colour.
