DORIAN AWARD RESULTS: MOONLIGHT IS FILM OF THE YEAR

In a turn of events that was as inevitable as it is inevitably pleasing, Moonlight has been named the Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association's Film of the Year for 2016. MOONLIGHT LEADS GALECA'S DORIAN AWARD NOMINATIONS

And too right too! You can always trust the gays. The Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association has announced its 2016 film and TV award nominations, with Moonlight both predictably and deservedly leading the pack, claiming seven mentions total. Thursday the 26th of January is the date for the winners announcement.

CAROL TAKES THE LOT AT GALECA'S DORIAN AWARDS

Why cry when you can laugh? And why laugh when you can laugh in the faces of Oscar voters, secure in the knowledge that you have far better taste than they do, and are thus far better people? GALECA ANNOUNCES DORIAN NOMINEES FOR 2015

Here are the nominations for the Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association's Dorian Awards for 2015. Female-focused films fare well, as do LGBT+ films, naturally. There are mentions for The Danish Girl and Stonewall, unfortunately, but they're more than balanced out by welcome recognition for Carol in top categories.
