MAD MAX: FURY ROAD RIDES TO VICTORY WITH GEORGIA CRITICS

The Georgia Film Critics Association made its feelings pretty clear with its awards for films in 2015. The Oscar frontrunners all fell away - some at nomination stage - to make way for Mad Max: Fury Road, which wins four awards. Well deserved, I say, and quite refreshing after the film's snub earlier today in top categories at BAFTA. Have a look:

GEORGIA FILM CRITICS ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES 2015 NOMINEES

It'll surprise few that Mad Max: Fury Road, currently the overall favourite from critics awards and polls for the 2015-16 awards season, leads the nominations for the Georgia Film Critics Association's awards. It's a fine choice from the group, and I find no fault in their general snub of The Hateful Eight and a highly deserved credit for The Assassin in Best Cinematography.
